It’s a Theme, Not a Marriage

I have decided I want a new Wordpress theme for my blog. I love what I’ve got here, but the author has not updated it to include support for widgets, and I think I’m ready to move on to a 3 column layout.

So not a big deal, I pick out a new theme and then update everything. Only..I’m having a hard time with this. I usually take change pretty well, but not so much with my blog it seems. I did the banner myself, so I am not willing to change that, meaning the new theme has to at least somewhat match the colors I have now. And supposing I do find one I like, what if I break my whole darn page again? Granted if I do, its just a matter of switching back to this theme. But I know I’m going to have to spend hours to update and get everything how I want it. Is it even worth it??

I swear picking out a wedding dress was easier than this.

    2. It took me forever to get around to changing my blog from the basic template that blogger had. Once I did though (my friend did it for me) I loved it so much that I just stared at it for hours. Change is good! And hard!

    3. Ooh, I feel your pain after just having gone through that process myself. My recommendation is to pick a template that has a picture for the header, then use your own picture so that it’s personalized.

I am currently considering a template change but I an too much of a pansy to try to do it myself. I’ll just pay someone to do it for me.

      Kudos to you for trying!!!
