Seeing It in Black and White
I meant to post this earlier, but between playgroup drama and watching 16 3rd graders so the teacher could have a lunch alone I totally forgot.
Brendan’s speech teacher met with me this morning about his IEP for next year. Pretty much what I expected- vocabulary will continue to increase, work on articulation, yada yada yada. What caught me off guard was that ‘verbal apraxia’ is now written on there, so I suppose for all intents and purposes he has been diagnosed. Nothing I didn’t already know after 4 ST’s saying he’s a textbook case, but it was just odd to finally see it on paper.
I’ll turn off comments on this one, I wouldn’t know how to respond myself, so I’ll not put that pressure on you guys. Just wanted to share.
