So Happy Together…
The Queen of Shake-Shake and I are friends, and she lives just right down the street from me. Our kids play together, we enjoy hanging out, and we talk on the phone daily.
Today I found out we are physically joined at the hip.
Ok, not really. Someone assumed we are, and you know what they say about ASSuming, right?
Anyways, it annoyed me for a few minutes. And then my mind started wandering, and I wondered what it would be like if we really WERE joined at the hip?
She has awesome taste in shoes, so she might be inclined to let me borrow some.
We could write really cool blogs together.
We’d know at least 2 people would be there for every playdate.
On the other hand…
I would have to listen to her kids tantrums, and she’d have to listen to mine.
She is MUCH more outgoing than I am, so it would make for a lot of social awkwardness.
I’m a Pepsi girl, and she most definitely is not.
As disappointed as the world will be, we shall be keeping our independent status, and you’ll just have to continue to love us separately.
All new readers are welcome, and I hope you will consider subscribing to my RSS feed. Feeling sociable? Join me on Twitter, I'd love to hear from you!

I’d give up every single acquaintance/casual friend I have for a friendship like that. =)

You are lucky to have a friend you are so close with! I lost a lot of my really close friends when our lives went seperate ways…I was the only one settling down and starting a family….
I think I would actually consider Carlos’ sister to currently be my closest friend (other than Carlos, of course!), so I’m uber-excited that we will be moving 5 minutes from where she lives…it will be really nice!
I also would live to add that I am kinda glad that you aren’t actually physically joined at the hip…’cause now I get twice the fun-blogs to read!!! I’m selfish that way….

Yeah, think of how badly I would corrupt you. Soon, you’d be posting pictures of your dog’s asses and of yourself flicking the bird. I probably would even get you to start using the evil *C* word.
And the farts….ohmygod, think of the farts.
We need a new name other than play date. Let me go knit a thinking cap and I’ll come up with one.

Soo funny! I’ve had my sister here for the past week and it is really nice to have another female around. You’re so lucky to have a great friend and connection like that! It makes life a little bit sweeter.
