Whatever ya got in your arsenal. I’m going to need them.

I have the Room Mom meeting for PTA Tuesday morning. The meeting I am in charge of. The meeting where I have to stand up in front of a bunch of people and tell them what I expect from them this year.

Did I mention I am TERRIFIED of public speaking?

This should be interesting.

If I could handle 9 years on the PTA board so can you. I was never president or treasurer or funsraiser but I did do vice president, newsletter editor, book fair chair for 4 years, carnival chair yadaa yadda yadda. I recommend bookfair cuz you get killer discounts on books! You’ll be great. Be yourself. Let the Alphas take over if they so in love with themselves!

good luck! I’m room mom for my son again this year — even though I vowed I’d never do it again! Curses…. room mom again! Oh well, at least this year I have a co-room mom and some parents that actually CARE!

Me too. I can’t speak in public. I start to stutter. I did PTA last year…never again. I think it was who I was working with but it was one of the most horrible experiences of my life. I hope to try again in a few years with a different school.
