Damian is sitting at the kitchen bar as I am unloading the dishwasher, and I happen to look up and see him sticking his hand in and out of his cup of ice water. The same hand that I know has been in his pull-up, in his nostrils and god only knows where else.

“Damian! Get your hand out of there! You do NOT put your hand in your drink! That’s yucky!!”

Once again giving me that Mom’s Gone Dumb look.

“Mommy, it not my drink. It brother’s drink!”

I’ve updated the links on the previous post for those I have who have written about Bill Maher’s ridiculous comments on breastfeeding in public. If you don’t see your link up there or haven’t gotten it to me, either comment or email me a virtual smack on the head and I’ll get that up. If you haven’t read them, please do, some are LOL-funny!

As the story spreads of Bill Maher’s less-than-supportive remarks about womens’ right to feed their babies in public view, more and more bloggers are picking it up and spreading the word. I wanted to make a list here of those bloggers who have sought to further the discussion and bring this issue to the forefront. Bill Maher may feel this is a silly, narcissistic cause, but those of us who have been there know better. Breastfeeding is not just a parenting choice, but a serious health issue. Given the state of things today I really don’t think we can afford to shun and embarrass those trying to do the healthiest thing possible for their babies.
