What is Your “One Word”?

On the radio this morning they posed a question that I would love to see you guys answer-

If you had to get a tattoo today that was one word or picture that would sum up your life or personality, what would it be?

(Remember it can only be ONE word or ONE object.)

    1. Cass says:

      breathe

Sometimes I need a reminder to do this so I think a tattoo would be appropriate.

    2. Rhea says:

Wow, ask an easy question, why don’t ya? This is HARD! I like Cass’s answer above. That’s a good one. Maybe I’d like the Infinity symbol…because life contains so much possibility and promise…endless hope. Oh, HOPE is a good word too. This is my answer for now, but I’m going to keep thinking about this one for a while…

    3. Love

All that is important to me and what I hope I give.

    4. What about you?

    5. celebrate

You know the Dave Matthews song “two step”?
“Celebrate we will, ’cause life is short & sweet for certain.”

    6. Natalie says:

My first inclination would be “Fool”, but that’s just my frame of mind right now. Cass’s answer is mind blowingly perfect.

    7. Cass stole my answer. I would totally have Breathe tattooed somewhere. I made a bracelet for myself after my dad died that said that, and silly as it seems, it helped. Never thought of making it permanent, but now I’m thinking…

    8. About 15 years ago, I got an ivy vine tattooed around my ankle, to signify my idealistic belief in the power of education and my desire to teach. I still like it, but now I’d get something that meant mother.

Although I think I NEED Cass’ breathe tattoo.

    9. Christy says:

I would have to say mother. But I have been wanting a tattoo for about a year that says I was born to do this, and then one day I seen a pic of Jenna Jameson and she had that on her back. Gee mom or pornstar? The world shall never know.

    10. Christina says:

An Irish trinity knot. It symbolizes my heritage and my belief that everything is connected.

If it had to be a word? I’d probably go with Hope.

    11. shuey6 says:

      caught

    12. Cheryl says:

It would have to be the Yin/Yang symbol.

    13. bitchy

    14. Amanda says:

oh, just one word.. that is hard… it would probably be LIVE or LEARN, but i would do them in greek.

    15. ali says:

      mystery.
      :)

    16. Diane says:

      Blessed.
So the days I take it for granted I can look at it and it can remind me.

    17. Amy says:

I already have mine, in fact I have quite a few but my most significant to me is the rather large guardian angel that takes up all of my upper back, he is there because I am a survivor and I am certain I couldn’t have made it this far in my life alone.

    18. “?”

      WITH quotation marks

    19. TX Poppet says:

“Siorran” It’s Scot’s Gealic for eternal. Spouse had it engraved in my wedding band to signify eternal love. Feel free to sigh.

can I be totally weird and say a clock face with no hands…..

    23. 8-25-6

The day I became a mother.

    24. Hmmmm – would a symbol do? I’d go with the biohazardous symbol: http://www.uottawa.ca/services/ehss/images/s-biohaz.gif

      Visit me @ http://www.momontherun.net

    25. Sara says:

      I’d go with Balance.

i’m always struggling to maintain balance in my life, balance of being a woman, a mother, a lover, a daughter. And then also maintaining a balance between manic episodes and depressive episodes. So Balance would be my word

    26. (My son has the biohazard tat) Me, I would say it would have to be Chit. That’s how I feel today!

    27. Hope.

    28. “abstinence”

Just kidding…I would have my children’s names in a circle.

    29. Mrs. R says:

      My initial word was “ooops…”

But Mrs. Fussypants came up with a great word, so I’m going to have to go with her.

    30. Stephanie Chance says:

I got a crab. It’s my zodiac symbol and describes my mood most of the time. :)

    31. mah-meeee says:

I’m new to your blog, but I can’t help but to put in my two cents…

      faith

Because now after having two kids, I realized that having faith in everything that I do is so important because sometimes when I don’t think I can make it, I need to have faith that everything will all work out.

    32. Becky says:

Just one word OR one picture? I would have to do a tat then with the faces of my children. Because I have one picture with all four of them in it then this would be one.
If I had to choose a word I would want Mommie.

    33. I’m still planning on getting my tattoo one day. ;-)

It’s a Lotus Flower. Pretty obvious at first (my name)… but it also symbolizes for me beauty in nature, something I’m very fond of.

    34. One object – a dragonfly. I actually have that tattooed on the inside of my arm – right where it bends at the elbow.

      Senora Patron
bloghoppin’ and sippin’ on a Friday nite cuz my life is just THAT exciting. ☺

    35. Love.

    36. MizFit says:

this morning with bebe up at 3?
      f***

      typically?

      shalom.

    37. Think.

Though lately I’ve been thinking it should be “Listen.”

In both cases, I keep my mouth shut, first and foremost.

    38. J says:

The word that I identify with the most is “Kindness”, but that doesn’t make for a very cool tattoo, does it?

    39. A heart. To signify those I love and also romance as I’m a romance writer.

I found your site through the Weekend Blog Hoppers’.

Fun question, not that I’d ever get a tattoo in real life.

    40. Mine would be: “Imagine.” This word in American Sign Language has a beautiful sign.

    41. Live.

    42. Stephanie says:

      “Whatever!”

      With the exclamation point.

Just came across your blog. Like it. Stop by mine.

    43. Jen E says:

A picture would be a thorny rose–pretty but with a bite. I don’t know about a word but I really like “Breathe” since so many times I need to stop, breathe and calm myself before I say something that I shouldn’t. :)

    44. Cricket says:

      Goddess

And, if you want my opinion, ALL ladies should have this tattoo ;-)

    45. This is a long way to travel at my age …… tsk …….. anyway it would be a puppet on a string manipulated by you apparently …….. double tsk

    46. jeff zbar says:

So many traits, so few word(s). Does a hyphen count? Rock-On. What about an acronym? WTF. I guess “Lively,” would be mine – as told to me by the fortune cookie fortune I received years ago and still carry in my wallet (“You have a lively family”).

Yet in truth, mine would have to be, “Doghouse,” as that’s where my wife would summarily banish me to if I EVER came home with a tattoo…

    47. Believe!

    48. Tuni & G says:

      Desire!

    49. It would have to be “Relax”…I’m way too uptight and could use some serious relaxation.

    50. jamie says:

      medusa

    51. My daughter’s would be: SUPER GRANNY ROCKS! with hearts around it.

Mine would be a pic of the Statue of Liberty

    52. bec says:

It would be an image of a butterfly. generic I know, but it’s what I’ve always wanted for a tattoo and it is a wonderful symbol of the transformation of life, physically and spiritually. The one I have picked out is considered a Russian butterfly. not quite sure why. It has sharp edges and still looks soft and feminine.

    53. Olivia says:

      Blessed

    54. jy says:

      REMEMBER

    55. Jennifer says:

Serendipity. it means when you come across something that is completely and utterly fortunate while looking for something else entirely. And, usually, what you find is better than what you were originally looking for. Pretty much,it’s life, summed up in one word.
