Suburban Oblivion

Recently I posted about escaping the monotony of mommy life and heading to Chicago for SOBcon 2008 the first weekend of May. That’s coming up fast, only 9 days away. 9 days of sweating and having nightmares dreaming about all the exciting people I’m going to meet at the conference. It’s going to be here before I know it. (I will survive this, right?)

In the meantime, I’ve been keeping myself busy sending out invites to what I hope will be the talk of the weekend, a fabulous Chicago blogger meetup at O’Callaghan’s Irish Pub on Thursday, May 1st at 8pm. Paul O’Flaherty and I are planning this on behalf of FuelMyBlog.com and so far its looking to be a great turnout!

So my friends, if any of you are in Chicago (yes lurkers, that means you too!) and want to drop by, we’d love to meet you. The event is open to bloggers of all kinds(podcasters/vidcasters too!), and you can earn yourself a free drink if you are a registered user of FuelMyBlog and display one of their widgets on your site Either way it will be a great time with a wide range of bloggers, and best of all we will be streaming it live on Blogtv!
